Very unhelpful experience. When I called to ask them to change me to an electric source, they told me to contact the company myself. I did so and got a much lower rate. Some months later Utiliz switched me to a supplier with a higher rate! When I contacted them to complain, they said I should have called them and told them about my lower rate! So Utiliz actually made things worse NOT better!

We were in a contract that was charging us nearly double what Eversource was charging direct... I had to call them to get into a better rate. Even though they weren't charging me during that period, the fact that i was in the higher rate plan cost me 100's if not 1000's of dollars.

Initially the service was great. Then there were no changes for over a year. I found a new provider and had to ask you guys to switch to it. I was then charged over 20 times on my credit card for monthly fees that for whatever reason hadn’t been taken out prior.

Was a customer of Utiliz for many years and was quite happy. Recently (Dec 2022) I saw that Eversource was raising their generation rates by 100%. Utiliz found a company that was less than Eversource, but only by a few fractions of a percent. I heard from others that there were other companies out there offering power generation rates 25% or more LESS than what Utiliz had offered. When I contacted Utiliz about this, they indicated they were not able to offer those rates from those companies. My GUESS is that these other companies do not pay commissions on accounts transferred to them. As such, I have personally moved my electrical generation to one of the lower-rate companies and cancelled my subscription to Utiliz. I love the idea of Utiliz and hope they will find a way for their business model to truly provide the savings that they promise to their customers.

I am about ready to cancel as I just received an email stating that I needed to contact my electric supplier in order to switch back to the standard rate. I signed up with Utiliz under the understanding that "Automatic switching is the core of what we do at Utiliz."

Excellent in the first 3 years....Utilz kept track of and changed our electric supplier to the best deal at the time.
A couple of times, however, I had to remind them of changing our service as our electric contract ran out before Utilz could find us another supplier.
Utilz reverted us back to Eversource and that is where we are today.
I am still charged the $4.99 per month and am thinking about canceling the service.
